As we transition to the endemic vs pandemic phase of Covid-19, the virus is still circulating and still causing significant disease. I speak from experience having recently experienced my third infection. This last one was brutal compared to my earlier episodes.
I am wearing my medical grade mask during all sessions. Masks are optional for patients but are strongly recommended. I am in very close contact with many people throughout the day, so any extra protection is worth it. While I am confident my cases were from social interactions, one can never be sure.
In addition, I strongly encourage everyone to be current with vaccination/boosters unless there is a medical condition that makes the risk of reaction to the vaccine bigger than the risk of contracting Covid. We feel it is our responsibility as members of society to get vaccinated to protect those among us who are at high risk or can’t be vaccinated.
